Ninth Annual Nature Art Showcase and Sale

The public is invited to this free indoor art display and sale held in the lobby of the Barrow Civic Theatre in downtown Franklin, directly across the street from where ice sculptures are displayed during the Franklin On Ice festival.  Most of the artwork is available for on-site purchase.

This year more than 60 artists have each registered one or two original items of artwork depicting the outdoor recreational opportunities, landscapes, flora, and fauna of northwestern Pennsylvania.  They use a wide variety of art techniques in 2-D and 3-D to feature the four seasons in the outdoors.  New this year is a section of artwork focusing on Pollinators.

A “Meet the Artists Reception” kicks off this free event on Friday, February 7 from 5 pm until 7 pm.  The showcase continues on Saturday, February 8 from 10 am until 6 pm.  For more details, see www.nwpagreenways.org.  Artists may still register; the form and instructions are on the website.

This public event is jointly coordinated by the Council on Greenways and Trails (CGT, for Crawford, Clarion, and Venango Counties) and the non-profit Penn Soil Resource Conservation & Development Council serving eight counties in NW PA.
