Fall Gas-Up at Drake Well Museum

September 11, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Drake Well Museum and Park will host the 37th Annual Fall Gas-Up, sponsored by the Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society. Displays will include antique engines, farm and oil field equipment, cars, trucks and models.

The Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society is comprised of members from the tri-state area whose interests are the restoration and preservation of a wide variety of “hit & miss” gas engines ranging in size from small Maytags used with washing machines to large oil field engines used to pump many oil wells at one time. New York state-made engines are the special feature of this year’s gathering, with Drake Well Museum showcasing its Luther Eclipse.

This would be the 37th annual Gas-Up at the museum, but the pandemic forced the event’s cancellation last year. Regular attendees of the event are looking forward to the return of the engine showcase. There will be food, and beverages available for purchase. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for Seniors, $5 for children. Drake Well Museum and Park is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission.
